ABOUT ME

I am an engineer by trade but have been enjoying photography for many years. My wife and I would make trips to the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge to photograph wildlife.
I put the camera away for a few years until we had our first child. This reignited the bug of photography.
What an amazing thing digital photography is these days. As a student, you receive instant feedback. This accelerates the learning curve.
I made the mistake (fortune) of crossing the Strobist website one day. That started a year and a half of learning about small strobe flash photography. This is where the benefits of instant feedback are felt the most. I have become very comfortable with incorporating and blending natural and artificial light.
Family portraits are what I enjoy the most. There's something great about capturing moments between family members.
I have experience in the following photographic areas: families, seniors, infants, toddlers, weddings, commercial products, school homecomings, formal college celebrations, and others.
I still really love portraits.
My family is my main subject since they are captive (ok, they are in the same house).
I just love studying them and taking time to capture what God has created.
