Great Friends, Beautiful Kids

The tough thing about this one is just deciding which photos to post.  So here are a bunch of them.  Some black and white, some color.  Some use strobes some are just natural evening light on the beach.  We enjoy a visit with these special people.

Here is a group that I would title HAIR/Girlhood.

Someone could have a career in modeling I think.

Here is some miscellaneous fun.

One of my favorites of the bunch here.

Mommy is one of my wife's best friends since college.

So thankful to call these gals friends.  See you soon.

Could You Please Smile?

This was a difficult session.  As you'll see in the photographs, it was a challenge to get these guys to smile and have fun.  So stuffy. :)  Obviously, I am so joking.  They were great.

The difficulty wasn't them.  Let's see.  We had to postpone this session a few weeks ago because of 30 mph onshore winds.  So this time Hurricane Sandy has just passed us.  I picked the location because it is generally not busy.  So I arrived early to scope the area only to find that Sandy had caused severe erosion.  There was almost no beach.  There was maybe 3 feet of sand in front of some of the dunes before the drop off.  And oh yeah there was a huge wedding, and oh yeah another photographer was with a client.  Not ideal but we worked with it.  And at least the wind died off so that I was able to set up strobes and an umbrella.

I think we got some great results.  It's hard to go wrong with such a fun family.  Laughing and smiling translates well in photographs.

Be blessed!

Beach Bride

This was the latest wedding.  A wedding overlooking the beach.  Funny how you take for granted the place that you live.  But the ocean really is amazing.  And makes for amazing photographs.

The above shot and this one are a couple of my favorites.

Here are a few more on the beach.

Always be on the lookout for details that help tell the story of the wedding day.

The rings are obvious.  I found some of the flowers to shoot through for the ring shots.

Necklaces, hairpieces, shoes etc. are some details that may be overlooked.

Candids, of course, are requested by most every one.  Capturing moments that would otherwise pass by.  Here is the bride with her brother and sister.

And the kiddos are some of my favorite subjects.  This particular one was difficult to get a shot of.

Be blessed.

An Evening At The Beach

Another family chose me to capture some moments for them.  These guys.

We had such a nice time.  The weather was beautiful.  The children are adorable.  Photographically, it can't get much better.

So here are a few of my favorites.
